How long should I stay in the sauna?
- For beginners: Start with 5-10 minute sessions and slowly increase your time as you build tolerance
- If more accustomed : 15-20 minutes
- If advance: 30mins or longer, staying well hydrated and knowing how your body is in the heat.
- After each sauna session relax and cool down for 10-15 mins and re-hydrate
- Alternating between heat and cooling down is more beneficial than one long session.
- Improved blood flow: The process of vasodilation (widening of blood vessels) in the sauna and subsequent vasoconstriction (narrowing) after cooling down can improve circulation. Proper cooling prevents post-sauna side effects such as headaches, or dizziness,.
- Stay Hydrated!
What can I expect if my first time?
- Sign the liability waiver.
- Leave electronics with your belongings.
- Ask others in the sauna before pouring water on the stones (called Löyly pronounced “louy lu”)
- Come dressed ready and in a swimsuit, changing area is limited.
- Bring a towel to sit on, and a towel for yourself or post showers
- non glass water bottle
- sandals for walking between spaces
- social leaning space, to enjoy in conversation or the simple joy of shared space
- good vibes, let’s elevate each other
Where can I keep my belongings?

What is the vibe like?
Be here, be you, be mindful. Come here for interactions, self reflection, or whatever moves you. Come as you are, and feel comfortable to say no thank you to others if not interested in talking. Expect music and elevated vibrations of humans sharing in communal sauna experiences. Standard hours are geared toward a social atmosphere, (which one can still be in self reflection) but check the calendar for quiet hours if it is preferred for a more meditative vibe.
Can I be nude?
My hope is to get set up for an all genders topless optional adult (18+) hours.
But for now, “appropriate” swimwear or activewear is required.
