Third Space Sauna is about community. While sauna is a tool for personal health and wellness, our goal is to be a vibrant and welcoming gathering place where the investment in wellness ripples out to hold community in all its forms. In times of isolation having a third space away from home and work is vital.

This is not a spa, is it a restorative practice to return and share in the vibration of community. Encouraging a social space of gratitude and good vibes. 

Our vision

The vision for this sauna is one of connection, for St. Johns neighbors, greater Portland and beyond.  We seek to bring a place of respite in the city.

Our motivation

We are building a space which connects us back to ourselves, community, and ourselves in community.  

Why Sauna?

Bathhouses and sweat lodges have been central to community among many cultures.  They serve as a hub for social interaction and renewal.  For shared stories, shared silence or shared sense of community.  Cultivated not only for individual wellness but for collective connection.
